Villa of Ein Karem considered birthplace of John the Baptist and as the site of the encounter between Mary, Elizabeth and Zacharias before the birth of Jesus. The churches of the area containing numerous paintings and archaeological sites, and have inspired the creation of an artists' colony in the village.
Hadassah Medical Center, part of the Hebrew University: is a modern hospital and education center located near Ein Karem and overlooking the town, built by the Women's Zionist Organization Hadassah. The hospital houses the synagogue windows and its famous Chagall windows. There are special programs for visitors about the history of Hadassah.
Har Herzl Military Cemetery: in Bait wander. Is site of the tomb of Theodor Herzl, who foresaw the rise of the State of Israel, and a museum containing documents about his life. The adjacent cemetery houses the graves of those who fell in defense of Israel and is open daily until sunset.
Hebrew University in Givat Ram, in the area are also the buildings of the National University Library, Auditorium Wise, the Synagogue, and Planetarium Williams.
Knesset Israeli Parliament Building in Rupin Street, open to the public. Guided tours of the building, free of charge. Very near the Wohl Rose Park of Jerusalem, with its fifteen acres planted with a variety of roses from around the world.
